About Us

Del Norte Child Care is a ​Spanish-English home day care for children from ages newborn to 5 years old. We are open from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm Monday through Friday, and offer full-time, part-time and hourly rate options. 
 

At Del Norte, we are committed to your child's need to develop in a warm, loving, nurturing environment. Your child will be given love and attention, and will learn to share and participate in activities and develop social relationships. Having infants interact with older children is a great way to help infants develop motor skills, language development and social skills. We provide each child with age-appropriate activities.

We teach the following: 

• Good eating habits and social manners

• School time: ABCs, numbers, colors, shapes, music and games

• Arts and crafts: Drawing, coloring, painting, cutting and gluing

• Basic Spanish language

• Music appreciation

Every day, we speak English and Spanish with the children. During our daily Spanish lesson, they learn how to say and write their ABCs, numbers, colors and simple words and phrases.

Books, toys and arts and crafts materials are available to allow the children to use their imagination and skills. At the same time, they learn to be independent and have confidence in themselves. Outdoor activities in a nice, safe environment — fun and games, individual play, walks, short field trips to the park — are included daily.​

Nutritious meals are served daily. Del Norte Child Care is a participant in the Federal Child Care Food Program, and we abide by the program's guidelines. See a weekly sample menu.
